Hypertension	2017 American College of Cardiology (ACC)/American Heart Association (AHA) suggestions *Normal* Systolic blood pressure (SBP) < 120 mm Hg and Diastolic blood pressure (DBP) < 80 mm Hg *Elevated blood pressure* SBP 120-129 mm Hg and DBP < 80 mm Hg *Stage 1 hypertension* SBP 130-139 mm Hg or DBP 80-89 mm Hg *Stage 2 hypertension* SBP > 140 mm Hg or DBP > 90 mm Hg
Isolated systolic hypertension	SBP > 130 mm Hg with DBP < 80 mm Hg
Isolated diastolic hypertension	SBP < 130 mm Hg with DBP > 80 mm Hg
White coat hypertension	Elevated blood pressure readings in office but normal outside of office
Masked hypertension	Elevated blood pressure readings *outside* office but normal at office
